Audible.com and PR

Well, I'll be danged! I got a reply!
Another reason to continue using Audible with their large and eclectic library of books, periodicals and other interesting readings.

I had begun the thriller 'Apostle' and didn't enjoy the language, to say the least.(What I get for reading this type of novel.) I don't enjoy hearing the 'F' word in my ears, nor the other words used. *When heard at school, my kids used to refer to the speaker as 'Potty Mouth'.*
So on the spur of the moment, I dashed off a polite letter to Audible just letting them know what I was thinking. And surprise! I received a very friendly reply.

Yes, I do like Audible. And their Public Relations protocol.

Thank you for sending your email to Audible, this was forwarded to Customer Support due to an option available. We do allow customers to “return” upto 2 books in a 6 month period, even if they are downloaded. For titles not downloaded, there is no limit to those. Audible is only charged the licensing fee when a title is downloaded, not purchased. The license that is awarded to the customer is not transferable to another customer, so we limit the refund for downloaded titles just to 2 every 6 months.

Do you want to get a refund (book credit restored) for the title “The Apostle”? Please respond back to this email message.
I will be gone for the next two days, so if you send your response back later on tonight, I will take care of it on Thursday.

I began Brad Thor's The Apostle, but decided to delete it from my IPod before I had finished chapter 2.
The language used is offensive to me.
The majority of books to which I've listened have been quite good. Even one or two which I thought were nothing I'd recommend, I finished. This one I cannot.
I appreciate your website and its wonderful library. I'm a professional quilter and my audible books make me look forward to quilting longer hours than I previously did. I recommend your website whenever I can.
