Isn't This ....

... the appetizer that your dad and Elizabeth ate at Chilis??

I found a little explanation of this faux food online.

"Onion String & Crispy Jalapeno Stack." This before-meal snack is lugging along 2,130 calories, 213 grams of fat (I kid you not--42 ½ pats of butter!), and 1,320 mgs of sodium."

The kicker is that Elizabeth asked the server why Chilis didn't offer the Blooming Onion anymore. He replied it wasn't healthy; too much fat.
Yuk!!

haven't tried those, but i do remember really liking the blooming onion. i wonder how it compared to this?

From what I've read, the Blooming Onion thing was 2700 calories,203 grams of fat and 6300 mg of salt!

OH no! I ate some of those on vacation. No wonder I put three lbs. back on!
