So This is Why.....

...my leg hurts so often! I stayed up way too late finishing this fabric so it could be put into pillows (for royalty, no less!).

This is the second piece of silk I've quilted for Michele, an interior designer. I stood for hours quilting this 52x74" pink silk; very labor intensive. I didn't mind as I was listening to David McCullough's wonderful book 'John Adams' (which I recommend to all). Unabridged, of course.
But the next day, I could hardly move my leg. Really aggravating. And it wasn't until I got the next quilt pinned onto the frame and was standing to quilt the light bulb went off. I realized I was standing with all my weight on my left leg, sometimes with my right foot on top of my left foot. I now try to remember to stand with weight evenly distributed on both feet, and knees slightly bent.
This isn't comfortable at all! The saving grace is my new IPod Classic which Brent bought for me. I love to quilt and listen to my audio books.
So what do y'all think of this silk fabric?
