Just this morning, I mailed off this quilt to Lynn. I had met with her while she was here in Pasadena for her daughter's graduation from the Pasadena Art Centre. Lynn is a military wife; or so I *thought*... Husband has been in Japan since November, and she joins him next month.
Anyway, I finished this quilt for her. As a patriotic gal, I gave her a 'military discount'. With shipping, batting, etc. it was a $400 total bill; I charged her $325. Only today did she clarify what her husband actually does; he works for the military as a building contractor.
Oh, well! It's the thought that counts, right?? : )

Doh! That quite a discount Mom! Cool quilt.
Well, maybe she makes enough to bring you more quilts too. It might not be all bad. She will think of you again for next time!
Her daughter just graduated from Pasadena Art Center (ouch!) and canteloupe in Japan are $15 each (ouch ouch!).
I'm sure she can use the discount.
