Beit Lehi in Israel

A large village which may have been founded thousands of years before Christ was born. It was a village of Muslims, Israelis, Christians. The name is taken from the word 'Beit' or house ~ and the word 'Lehi', which translate 'jawbone'. Some archeologists believe Samson lived here. (Do you remember the story of Samson and the lion?)

An Arab tradition tells of a man named Lehi, who was a  prophet. Many people there and surrounding areas came to be judged of Lehi. He was a prominent man, who one day vanished with his family. No one knows what became of them.
