Tonight

The second debate between President Obama and Governor Romney is being televised Tuesday night.
Brent will be out that evening until 9pm, but I've promised to wait until he's home to watch it with him. (We're recording it, just in case any of you would like to watch it with us after the fact.)  It's much more fun to watch it with Brent than myself. And if the kids come over and watch the debate, that just adds to the pleasure.  In fact, I'll even bake some oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies! Hot cookies while watching debates!!
Not that I'm trying to influence anyone, by the way. To buy votes is totally illegal.
But I'm just sayin'...  hot cookies if you come over Tuesday night. And cold milk, too.

Though Jim Lehrer took some heat with his moderating for the first debate, I thought he was spot on. He put the question out there, and let the candidates take over. There was quite a bit of give and take. Ideas were exchanged and made clear. Did I care that Obama had four more minutes of talking points than Romney?
Nope. Not me... I'd like to see all the debates done in this manner.
And this includes Lehrer's NO EGO format. His kind is a dying breed, I'm afraid to say.

I don't believe there will be only one topic highlighted in tomorrow's debate. Instead, there may be far ranging questions from the general public.  I hope that the candidates stay on topic with the question, and answer them with clarity. Isn't this what the public wants, generally?  haha
Get it? General Public... public generally?

Well, anyway ~ I thought I'd share this hot cookie cartoon which my Brother just sent me.

Haha, funny cartoon. Wish I could be there to enjoy some cookies. Knowing me, I'll probably fall asleep before the debate starts (9pm our time!)

Yes, I'm sure you'll be asleep by 9:12 pm... if you last that long. :)

lol that's a funny cartoon. Wish we could make it tonight. Too bad gas is so darn expensive. Oh, and the whole kids have to go to bed thing. Really cramps my style.
