Sad....
Our excitement with our four little chicks has been changed to a little sadness this afternoon. Our sweet Rhode Island Red had died. She ate well, and had even gained weight, so I'm not sure what was wrong. This tiny chick seemed to nap more than the others, so perhaps something was wrong with her heart.
We are sad. But it's all part of life.
Our other three chicks are loving their new home, are very active when not napping, and we hope to have them for several more years.

Bummer. The kids have been waiting till we can come meet them. I'll leave out the fact that there were four to start.
