It's Hot!

We've enjoyed relatively mild weather for our area this summer. We had quite a bit of rain during May, and temperatures of 80 degrees generally. There have been weeks of 90 degrees, but no constant 'hot'.
Yesterday was different. We got into the car about 6:30 last night. The temperature read 101 degrees. About an hour later, it read 86 degrees. Too hot! Our air is on 24/7 lately, and we're in for more hot weather today.
Poor chickens are not enjoying this at all. They like to sit on the cool grass under our large elm tree during the morning hours. In the afternoon they switch to under the camellias. It's probably at least ten degrees cooler there.

The weather makes me miss this:
