Easter Peeps

I don't like peeps; I never enjoyed putting them into your Easter baskets, but put them in I did. An Easter basket without those spongy little chicks and bunnies looks empty and forlorn. I like their sweet pastel colors as they nestle in the faux straw of the basket, vying for attention as they quietly lie with the chocolate eggs. Regardless of the mess, their immediate hardening upon contact with air, and the cavities created from eating the ears and heads, I continued to place them into your baskets. I believe in tradition.
