The top has a large goldish/navy star in the middle with a white setting. We did decide on stars for the white areas and and border corners, with piano keys in the main border area.
This is before the feathers and after. Are the feathers too girly for this top?
What do you girls think?

The quilting looks awesome. Is it for a boy? It's hard to know about the quilting since we can't see the whole quilt, but I would say I think it will look very nice. A big lone star needs fancy quilting! :-)
I don't think the feathers look too girly. Especially with the piano keys (?) coming off of them.
