CCD or Colony Collapse Disorder. We're speaking of the honeybee colony... millions of them throughout the world. Many apiarists call CDD the AIDS of bees. Just what causes it, no one can be certain. The only certainty is the result ~ an empty hive. The bees just disappear and don't return.

I love honeybees, and I really enjoyed the book -- thanks for the great recommendation.
(But I don't think I'll ever eat strawberries with honey on them -- I prefer them plain.)
