For those of us not lucky enough to have a scale to measure flour (like Chef Elliott), the King Arthur flour company recommends this technique. I think I'll try it, and use Brent's postal scale to weigh the flour in a ziploc bag. Let's discover how good a cup measurer I am.
However, for Christmas I still believe I'll ask for a digital scale. OXO makes a good one. In fact, I love just about all the OXO kitchen products.
