Plum Berry Upside-Down Cake

This dessert is fast becoming a summer favorite. Cleo and I made it when we had the missionaries over for dinner last night. We ate it warm from the oven with a dollop of whipped cream. The missionaries (one of whom is a picky eater) loved it.
I especially enjoy the plum's little bit of tartness in the cake's buttery sweetness.
Instead of huckleberries, I used plump blueberries with Green Gage plums from our tree.

Yum! It would be good with nectarines too, I think. I love nectarines, but it's hard to get reliably good ones here.
