Thank You, Lyle & Judy!
To the dismay of most in my family, I am proceeding with my plans to get a few backyard chickens. So I want to say 'thank you' to Lyle and Judy for not only encouraging me, but letting me know they think chickens will make great pets. You two will be recipients of the first fresh eggs. :)

You can de-scent skunks and make pets of them. A Pasadena police detective told me as a boy he would catch them in the Arroyo and sell them as pets after removing their musk glands.
Fine with me... but before you catch the skunk, find a 'descenter' in the yellow pages first.
yesterday, bentley read a book about hens. afterwords, he said to me, "mom, can we get hens? then i could sell their eggs for money!" he thought it was pretty cool that you are really going to get hens. i told him i didn't know if you'd be selling the eggs, though. john told him he could talk to you about it on his b-day. :)

I'd love to talk to Bentley about keeping chickens! And hopefully the next time he's down here, we'll have some eggs for him to collect. :)
