I discovered this female, fat and full of eggs, on my small Meyer Lemon tree. She hid beneath the leaves next to the blossoms where the bees came to take the nectar.
*** The lemon tree is almost completely covered with blossoms and bees. The mantis grew larger and larger with her eggs. Then a week ago, I spotted a brown skinny male a couple of yards away on another bush. The next day he was on the lemon tree, also, though safely on the other side. Now I can't find Momma. So I'm assuming she went somewhere to make a nest for her eggs. Hopefully I'll have more little green manti running about next spring. :)
