oh no, not popcorn! that is the worst smell to get rid if. before you throw away your microwave, try boiling water with cinnamon mixed in, in the microwave a few times. it works pretty well. i found that solution online by googling "burned popcorn smell." give it a shot!
Thanks, Leslie ~ I left a bowl of baking soda in the microwave last night; when I opened it this morning, the burn smell about knocked me down!! I'm going to get the curtains in my kitchen drycleaned. I could smell it in my bedding last night. :( How do people cope with a big fire? Good thing I buy the large container of cinnamon from Costco...
