Beam Me Up, Scotty!

American and English scientists have discovered how to 'cloak' an object so that it remains invisible.
To see an object, light bounces off it and back to the eyes of the viewer. The engineers created a type of 'cloak' around a copper cylinder using heat, which re-directed the microwaves around the object. It was hidden.
However, because the cloaking was only two-dimensional, a shadow could still be seen instead of the cylinder. Scientists next plan to work with three dimensional cloaking, where no shadow would be detected. They believe that eventually this can be used with humans and have all sorts of varied applications.
